“I love you”

The most basic way to say "I love you." is “Szeretlek.”, as you can see in this excerpt of one of our daily CLASSIC dialogues in our Daily Dose of Hungarian program:

🇭🇺

  • Megőrülök. Napok óta megy egy dal a fejemben. És nem tudom, mi az.
  • Énekeld el, hátha felismerem!
  • Dehogy énekelem el! Szörnyű hangom van.
  • Tényleg? Még soha nem is hallottalak énekelni.
  • Mert szeretlek, és nem szeretnélek megsüketíteni.

🇬🇧

  • I'm going crazy. There's been a song in my head for days. And I don't know what it is.
  • Sing it, I might recognize it.
  • I definitely won't sing it. I have a terrible voice.
  • Really? I've never heard you sing before.
  • Because I love you and I don't want to deafen you.
